When Pain Goes to Work

I sat. I thought. But most importantly, I awakened through what could have broken me.
And this book emerged.

When Pain goes to work.

Sometimes life can dump lemons on you, and you decide to make lemonade—or decide to watch the lemons rot and waste.

We cannot always decide what life throws at us. We cannot decide every turn our lives will take. But one thing remains stable: the Creator of the universe. He never changes.

When everything around us changes, when relationships change, He doesn’t. And that is why, when you choose to anchor yourself in Him, even through uncertainty, you can find the strength to create, to grow, and to begin again.

“Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

In creativity I was created,
and for creation I create.
I create a world in words.
The world and everything that is in it was created in His word.
The words of a poet, I fear to vie.

Yet, in Him, through Him, and with Him, I sat. I thought. But most importantly, I awakened through that which could have broken me.

And this book emerged.

My book. This book.

Rooted in the Storm.
The Seasons Within: A Poetry Memoir.

A poetry memoir of faith, resilience, love, loss, courage, healing, and becoming.
