You can’t shout at eight billion people.

You can’t shout at eight billion people, but you can focus on your core 20.

You can alter your time.
You can use your resources.
You can make sacrifices…
for your core 20.

— Reverend Father Andrew

And the truth is… we’re human.

I don’t always get forgiveness right either.
So I don’t stand here asking
why people struggle to forgive…

because sometimes, I do too.

But I’ve noticed something.

We reduce people to their worst moment.
The last thing they said.
The moment they failed.

As if that is all they are.

And somehow…
we are softer with ourselves,
and harsher with everyone else.

But if a relationship ever meant anything,
if you ever saw something good in that person…

why does one moment erase everything?

Did you expect them not to have a worst side?

Because you have one too.

Maybe the only difference is…
the moment hasn’t come yet
for yours to be seen.

You can build your core.
You can nourish it.
You can influence it.
You can enrich it.

Your core 20. Your circle.

And in doing that…
you are still contributing to the world.

We didn’t choose a crowd.
We chose what mattered.

Not performance.
Not perfection.

Just something real.

A quiet yes.
A simple beginning.

Becoming… without an audience.

A place we come for refuge/atonement/grace

A place we come to learn to be and do better.
